World Bee Count - Mobile app for iPhone and iPad

The goal of this app is to engage people from around the world in a campaign to increase awareness about the importance of bees and other pollinators to the life of our planet and to collect images of pollinators from around the world. Anyone with a smart phone and a willingness to look for pollinators in their local environment is encouraged to participate by taking a photo with the app and submit it to be included in the Global Pollinator Map. The app is simple to use and includes the ability to take photos within the app or to access the phone camera roll to select an image for submission. Once an image is submitted the user is encouraged to share their action through social media and is given interesting facts about pollinators. A link to the Global Pollinator Map is also included.
